To all New Jersey Veterans and Veteran Service Representatives:
The New Jersey Civil Service Commission is accepting applications for the 2010 Law Enforcement Examination (LEE) through August 31, 2010. An orientation guide, designed to assist test-takers in preparing for this exam, will be available at this site in the near future. Please visit http://nj.gov/csc/public_safety/popups/LEE_2010.html for more information and to file for the exam. You must apply to take the exam in order to become a Police Officer and must do so by August 31, 2010.
Veterans
Veterans who are eligible for veterans preference should file with the State of New Jersey. Having veterans preference for becoming a police officer makes a big difference, so if you deployed to Iraq or Afghanistan or other conflicts, please visit http://www.state.nj.us/military/veterans/njdmava_form_05A-1.pdf and complete the simple process. For more information on that, please contact me and I will walk you through the steps. Please note that having veterans preference is not automatic and is something you MUST file for and your application should be submitted as soon as possible.
