An educational workshop on the intricacies and implications of the Post 9/11 G.I. Bill, held at Kean University on November 10, 2009. Presenters included Dorothy Gillman, Veterans' Administrator at Ramapo College of New Jersey, and former President of the National Association of Veterans Program Administrators Jack Fanous, Executive Director and Founder of The G.I. August 16-17, 2009 - National Guard Reintegration Event in Atlantic City
As part of it's outreach efforts, OCP representatives joined representatives from all nine member institutions in participating in the Yellow Ribbon Reintegration program for the National Guard at a two-day conference in Atlantic City. Throughout the weekend, OCP joined several hundred support service providers in welcoming the 50th home and offering assistance in their pursuit of higher education opportunity. The program continues to research and regularly participates in community activities to promote both the OCP website and the program's commitment to assisting local veterans succeed in their civilian transition. June 12, 2009 - Welcome Home Parade
On June 12, 2009 New Jersey celebrated a historic landmark with the honoring of over 3,000 recently returning New Jersey National Guardsman.
